Thank you for investing in the futures of vulnerable children and youth. With your support, the dream of an education is being realized for many, ushering in hope for brighter days. 13,401 people, including 5,071 children, have  benefited from our education projects since they began in October 2016. In FY18, 6,383 people benefited.

Since May 2017, World Vision has been responding to an immense crisis in East Africa characterized by violence, natural disasters, disease, and displacement. With the help of generous donors like you, we have provided food; water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH); livelihood support; education; relief items; and protection interventions.

7.6 million people have been reached with food aid and humanitarian assistance in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, and Uganda since 2017.

The Strong Women, Strong World Fund supported the Women's Empowerment Fund and the Burundi Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Project. $1.55 million was raised for the Women's Empowerment Fund with 5,062 women currently receiving loans that impact 13,037 children. 51,102 people in Burundi were provided with access to clean water, 60,852 people benefited from improved sanitation and 93,269 people were taught better hygiene practices.

Although each of our project countries is very different, the theme we hear from our field offices is the same—the Christian Discipleship Signature Initiative is encouraging the voices of children to become stronger in their faith and more confident in their identity in Christ.

1,099,050 people benefited from ministry activities since October 2015, including 451,765 during the first half of FY18. This includes parents/caregivers, children, and community members benefiting directly and indirectly.

In alignment with the U.N. Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6),* World Vision’s WASH programming strategically focuses on universal and equitable WASH access. World Vision and our partners are committed to positively impacting the lives of millions through life-saving WASH services.

In the first half of fiscal year 2018, 1.5 million people were provided with access to clean drinking water. 1 million people gained access to improved household sanitation and 2.3 million people were reached with hygiene behavior-change programming.

Your support of World Vision’s mother and child health initiatives has helped bring improved health and well-being to families in Somalia, Uganda, and Zambia. Because of your faithful and generous partnership, pregnant and nursing women and young children are being cured of malnutrition and learning how to find and prepare healthy, nutritious food.

253,493 women and young children were provided with access to maternal and child health and nutrition services, which included 167,987 children younger than 5 during fiscal year 2018. Since these projects began in FY16, 582,162 women and young children have benefited from your support.
