In 2016, World Vision launched Phase 1 of our Mother and Child Health Signature Initiative with projects in Uganda, Somalia, and Zambia.These projects are now complete, and we are pleased to report that we reached more than 700,000 women and children, exceeding our target by 63%. Together with our partners, we increased capacity in health facilities, trained more than 7,000 community health workers, and delivered double-digit impact on key indicators, including attended births and infant survival.
