Mona Davies
Senior Program Manager, Food Security and Livelihoods

Mona A. Davies currently serves as a Senior Program Manager with the Food Security and Livelihoods team, where she manages the THRIVE Portfolio of projects. As a Business Development Manager with the Resource Development Unit, Mona led acquisitions of major public (U.S. Govt.) grants including World Vision’s flagship ($74M/38 partners/11 countries) Core Group Polio Eradication Project. Before World Vision, Mona was a Senior Program Manager for Economic Development and Gender at Africare. After a 13-year tenure as a Buyer and Product Development Specialist with Smithsonian Enterprises, Mona founded The Culture Shop - a social enterprise - based in Washington, D.C., that economically empowered artisans and small-scale farmers in developing countries through Fair Trade. In this capacity, she also mentored Afro-Brazilian youth entrepreneurs through a U.S. State Dept. International Fellowship Exchange program.
