Bio/Story
Steve originally became involved with World Vision in 2022, but his engagement has grown significantly over the past year. He attended his first in-person event at a Business on Mission conference in the fall of 2025, followed by the National Leadership Gathering and the Everyone Needs a Believer conference in the spring of 2026. He also recently participated in his first Vision Trip to Honduras, where he was further impressed by how the organization operates and effectively implements its programs. With a professional background in economics and business development, he is especially drawn to initiatives that help people move out of poverty.
Steve holds a degree in finance and operations research, as well as in government administration. He had a long corporate career with Merck & Company before spending the past ten years pursuing various entrepreneurial ventures. He currently works for a small M&A advisory firm, The Portfolio Group.
He is actively involved in several groups at his local church and is seeking additional opportunities to engage with charitable efforts and activities outside of work. He enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and has recently begun exploring 3D printing.
A fun fact about Steve: he was surprised to learn on his Vision Trip that most people don’t go skydiving without training or a tandem partner (an experience that was, of course, unrelated to the Vision Trip)!
