Simone and Anthony’s involvement with World Vision began in 2006 when Anthony ran the Chicago Marathon with Team World Vision. This event marked the start of a two-decade journey of races and fundraising for clean water with Team World Vision. They have run major marathons around the world, participated in the Hood to Coast relay, hiked the Grand Canyon, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, raced in Ironman events, and, most recently, Patagonman.
The couple has traveled to Kenya and Tanzania several times, where they have witnessed firsthand the transformational work that World Vision does in the communities it serves. Most recently, they took their four children, Mattie, Eli, Asher, and Liv, on a Vision Trip to Tanzania, where they all had a chance to connect with World Vision leaders and sponsored kids.
Simone and Anthony met at Texas A&M University, where Anthony holds a BA in Accounting and an MS in Finance. Simone has a BS in Community Health from Texas A&M and an MA in Biblical Studies from The Moody Bible Institute. Simone is also completing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Wheaton College. Anthony is currently an investment advisor in Chicago, and Simone is the founder and visionary leader of Naomi’s House, a nonprofit organization serving women who have been commercially sexually exploited.
They are both passionate about ending the global water crisis and are thankful for their partnership with World Vision over the last 20 years.
