Bio/Story
David began his involvement with Team World Vision when he signed up to run the Chicago marathon in 2016. Since then, he has been one of Team World Vision's top fundraisers. He has participated in the Hood To Coast relay every year since running the marathon. It was always his dream to bring his family on a Vision Trip, and in the summer of 2024 when his children were finally old enough, they traveled to Tanzania where their hearts were changed forever. After the trip, they initiated a donor-led water project in the Naberera region of Tanzania that will bring clean water to approximately 30,000 people in the area.
David grew up in Brooklyn, New York. Upon graduation from Hackley School in Tarrytown, New York, he attended Amherst College. His first job post-college took him to Goldman Sachs in Chicago, where he met Emily. He received an MBA from UCLA and is currently a vice president at Goldman Sachs. Emily grew up in Michigan City, Indiana, and proudly attended Indiana University. After graduating, she spent 10 years in the finance industry working on a fixed-income sales desk. She earned an MBA from DePaul University. After taking some time off to be at home with their two sons, she switched careers and became a fitness coach at OrangeTheory Fitness. She recently retired and likes to think of herself as a stay-at-home dog mom.
They are the proud parents of two wonderful boys. Harrison will graduate from high school in the spring of 2026 and head to college. His younger brother, Charlie, is two years behind him. They also have two very loved and spoiled Australian Labradoodles, Lucy and Dezi, and currently live in the western suburbs of Chicago.
Aside from their involvement with Team World Vision, the family is busy keeping up with high school sports and extracurricular activities. They attend Christ Church of Oakbrook, where the boys are involved in the high school youth group. They love spending time together, traveling, watching comedy movies, and drinking wine (adults only).
A fun fact for the family: They recently learned to play Mahjong and are currently obsessed with the game.
