New match opportunity for Water in Africa

Dana and David Dornsife and their family have just made a new commitment to World Vision’s Water program; bringing their giving to World Vision to an incredible total of $150 million. Beginning in FY26, the Dornsifes will match up to $4.8 million a year in gifts to World Vision’s Water work in Africa.

This year the Dornsife family will invest a total of $11.4 million with World Vision; their largest single year of investment. This is a multi-generational commitment as Dana and David included their children in their decision. With the investment of the Dornsifes and other donors, since 2011 World Vision has been able to raise more than $900 million to provide clean water access to more than 38.5 million people.

This is a great kick-off to the upcoming launch of World Vision’s fourth 5-year business plan, which will enable us to bring water to 30 million people between 2023-2030.  We have raised 44% of the $800 million needed to achieve this goal.

New video and mid-year update for Honduras

Please enjoy this video from Karen Ramos, Country Director World Vision Honduras, as she shares an update on our work to finish the job of providing clean water access in 49 municipalities in Honduras. As you can read in our  semi-annual report and the maps below, we are on track with this effort to reach 600,000 people by 2028. We need to raise an additional $17 million to complete the work.

New report on Health impact

Our semi-annual report of our Health work shows that we are reaping the success of our commitments to upgrade all the healthcare facilities everywhere we work in Rwanda, Niger, and Zambia. In Niger and Zambia alone, we provided improved healthcare for 334,826 people. As we complete work in these countries, our focus is beginning to shift to Ghana where we commit to upgrade 200 health clinics in 23 districts of the country.

The Ripple Effect

We’re going to have a splash of a water event at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington in Renton, Washington on September 20, 2025. Join us for an evening where you can experience the global water crisis — and the work to end it — like never before.
