I'm often asked about where men fit in when we talk about Strong Women Strong World. My answer is, "we can't have strong women without strong men!".
This Father's Day we're celebrating all of the strong men and boys who value, nurture, protect and empower women. Please join us in praying that God would continue to raise up men around the world who will be a part of creating a more just and equal world for women and men.

Through World Vision's Active Fatherhood Program, which challenges traditional male values in the community and teaches fathers to be involved with their kid’s lives, Lucio Mamani Katari has learned to be a better parent. He learned the value of education, and even went against cultural norms and encouraged his 13 years old daughter to pursue higher education.
Gender based violence is pervasive throughout the world, one in three women report having experienced physical and/or sexual abuse at some point in their lifetime. To create a better world for both boys and girls, we must address negative gender norms that result in injustice and systematic poverty. Through our Gender Equality approach, World Vision is working with women, girls, men and boys to to transform discriminitory practices together.
