Join us in prayer for refugees and disaster survivors

image1-1

God is with people suffering from disaster — the refugee, the earthquake survivor, the children facing famine, and families struggling from the secondary impacts of COVID-19.

God calls us to follow Him in offering hope to the most vulnerable people in their hour of greatest need. Following Jesus' example, we seek out the lost, injured, and threatened, providing care and protection when everything feels hopeless. We invite you to use this guide with specific ways to pray for refugees and disaster survivors — for all who find themselves "strangers" (Matthew 25:35).

Edgar Sandoval Sr. and David Beasley's call to feed the hungry

image2-1

World Food Programme (WFP) Executive Director David Beasley and World Vision U.S. President and CEO Edgar Sandoval Sr. recently co-wrote an op-ed for The Christian Post calling God's people to take decisive action against the global hunger crisis.

They write "...perhaps even more concerning are the countries where we are not yet hearing about COVID's secondary impacts on food and hunger. WFP estimates that worldwide, 270 million people are now at risk of starvation due to a deadly mix of conflict, climate shocks and COVID. The threat of famine is looming — in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar, South Sudan, Yemen and elsewhere. In many more countries, rates of food insecurity are sky-rocketing."

Together with our committed donors, we have stepped out in faith with the Every Last One© campaign — an unprecedented $1 billion plan to equip and empower 60 million of the world's most vulnerable people with life, hope, and a future in the name of Jesus Christ.

This is an ambitious goal. But we trust the words of Jesus: "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26, NIV).

Your compassionate support is making a life-changing difference for children and families. To discover the impact of your generosity, please read the 2021 edition of the Perspective newsletter.
