Women's Economic Empowerment - Breaking Gender Barriers and Advancing Equity

World Vision’s SVP of International Programs, Margaret Schuler, was honored to join this important high level panel discussion representing the NGO sector, along with Sarah Hendriks, Director of Gender Equality at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Professor Sabine Lang, University of Washington, Sarah Grammage, Economist and International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), Sarah Degnan Kambou, President ICRW, and Guadalupe Tovar, University of Washington Graduate Student in STEAM.

When girls and women gain information, knowledge, and access to opportunity - they are empowered - and their families, their communities, and their countries win.” Bringing an opening message on the economic empowerment for women, Her Royal Highness, Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark said, “Real change comes from changing our mindsets.”
