Today, the world acknowledges the scourge of human trafficking.  But what is it exactly?   Human trafficking involves the act of recruiting, transporting, transferring, harboring or receiving a person through the use of force, deception or other means for the purpose of exploiting them.  And more often than not, girls and women are the subjects. 

World Vision has been fighting against this most heinous form of violence for decades.  Our approach focuses on the children.  Providing safe spaces, teaching children about their rights and alternatives to falling into the same traps their mothers did.
