Bianca Flokstra

Bianca Flokstra is an international development professional with more than 14 years of experience in program design, implementation and management both in the US and in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.  She currently serves as the Director of the Food Security and Livelihoods, Program Quality and Impact team at World Vision US, where she manages a team of 7 Program Managers overseeing a $400+ million global portfolio of food assistance, agriculture, livelihood, economic development, and environment – related US Government and privately-funded programs.  Bianca has worked at World Vision US for over nearly 10 years in various capacities. Prior to this position, she worked at Samaritan’s Purse in Niger and the US Peace Corps in Burkina Faso.  When she’s not knee deep in tackling root causes of poverty, Bianca is chasing her two little children, singing in a social justice women's a cappella group, and serving on the board of the Breastfeeding Center of Greater Washington DC.  She is also passionate about maternal and child health and is actively working toward becoming an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
